THE NATIONAL CENTRE FOR BIRDS OF PREY
The National Centre for Birds of Prey (NCBP) is a new visitor attraction situated at the magnificent Duncombe Parkestate in Helmsley. Set within the world famous North York Moors National Park.
Witness the incredible birds taking to the skies against the spectacular backdrop of the Duncombe Park.

There are three demonstrations (two in the winter) Every day!

The team of dedicated staff will introduce you to different species of birds in each of our demonstrations.
Whitby and Whitby Abbey
The town of Whitby on the North Yorkshire coast lays claim to fame for a number of diverse reasons. It was in Whitby that Captain James Cook, the well known explorer, began his seafaring career; it was here that the writer Bram Stoker first had the idea for his legendary novel, Dracula; and Whitby was and is one of the UK’s principal fishing ports. The historical features of Whitby include St Hilda’s Abbey, on the East Cliff, overlooking the town. 
With Fish and Chips; History and Culture; Views and Festivals; Vampires and Goths: it’s all on offer at Whitby, one of the Yorkshire Coast’s best-loved seaside towns.
North Yorkshire Moor Railway  
The North Yorkshire Moors Railway is one of the world’s greatest heritage railway experiences with thrills and family fun at its heart. Climb on-board a steam or heritage diesel train and experience 24 miles of Yorkshire’s amazing scenery at this must-see visitor attraction.
Pickering Station is a 1930’s themed station that will transport you back in time to the steam era.
A must-see is the celebrity station, Goathland, which became Hogsmeade Station in the first Harry Potter film.
Explore Grosmont Station which is home to the operating and engineering world of the NYMR. If you are lucky you might be able to catch a sneaky peak at the work taking place on our engines!

RSPB Bempton Cliffs
Bempton Cliffs is within walking distance of Reighton Sands, an absolute must in the puffin season, 
A clifftop walk or a short car trip takes you the RSPB reserve with stunning view and   
spectacular wildlife.
   
With six cliff-top viewpoints. In spring and summer, marvel at England’s largest seabird colony and enjoy the breathtaking view. In autumn, look out for rarities among the migrating birds,

The new waterpark opened in 2016 just the place for that rainy day, Althought a little expensive its a place for a day of fun.

Every step will reveal something new, from a face to face encounter with sharks to a hands-on rockpool experience. Don't miss our outdoor exhibits - penguins, seals and otters!
Bondville Model Village Bridlington 
Flamborough Head Lighthouse
Bondville Model Village Bridlington is in Sewerby on the outskirts of Bridlington.
Come and see Bridlington’s miniature masterpiece, with over 200 buildings including a castle, ruined Abbey and Harbour,

Flamborough Head Lighthouse is located on Flamborough Head and offers breathtaking views over Bridlington Bay and the Heritage Coast. 
See the villagers going about their everyday lives. Watch the train pull its carriages around the village and across the river where fishing boats and cruisers are moored.

Visitors can climb the 119 steps to the top of the lighthouse to see the magnificent vistas of the surrounding area.
